Chiropractic

Chiropractic looks at the body as one integrated system that has self healing properties. Chiropractic aims to remove interference that stops or slows the body's normal functions to enhance it's natural ability to heal, grow and adapt.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic means "Relating to the body". This type of therapy solely focuses on optimizing biomechanical function through length-tension balances of soft tissues and muscles.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a discipline that focuses on restoring, maintaining and maximizing mobility, function and overall health of the musculoskeletal system. This can include the application of chiropractic and somatic therapy.

Dr. AJ has always had a huge passion for helping people and he continually strives to deepen his knowledge to give you the best results and experience possible. In his undergraduate studies, he pursued Athletic training and graduated in 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology with the expectation of going into the physical therapy field. After graduating, he began working for several physical therapy companies and independently did somatic therapy until he eventually landed at a wellness center named Corelife where he was the Director of Exercise and Fitness for their clinic in Laurel, Maryland. While working at Corelife in 2021, he completed his Masters Degree in Kinesiology and Human Movement Science.

After completing his masters degree, Dr. AJ looked into Chiropractic and found that the scope of practice was more in line with method of therapy over what he had seen from the physical therapy perspective and applied to Cleveland University in Overland Park, Kansas. There, Dr. AJ found his previous education helped him immensely in the classroom and excelled with his practical skills from his time working with the body outside of school. While in school, he held positions of leadership including Cleveland University Campus Ambassador, member of a professional chiropractic fraternity, and in the student-led American Chiropractic Association where he lobbied in congress on behalf of the chiropractic profession. Dr. AJ also was elected to the position of Vice President of Rho chapter in the illustrious professional chiropractic fraternity, Delta Sigma Chi, for six of his ten trimesters as a student.

Beyond campus leadership, Dr. AJ also attended additional trainings to become certified in Cox Flexion-Distraction Technique and FAKTR Technique, along with other trainings to hone his skills in chiropractic application. Upon graduating Chiropractic school in April 2025, Dr. AJ was unanimously awarded the Clinic Intern Performance Award, which is awarded to students that display superior attitude, clinical ability, and work ethic as student doctors of the school’s health center. Dr. AJ now looks forward to using the knowledge and skills he’s learned over the last 14 years to benefit the community of Timonium and surrounding areas to enhance the health and well being of people just like you.
